Naismith Hall UPGRADES - Coming Fall 2013!

We are pleased to announce the first phase of a $3 million planned renovation to Naismith Hall which will include a major renovation of the ground floor of the building. The renovation will include over 4,000 square feet of new amenity and common spaces for building residents including:

  • New fireplace lounge, a cozy place for study and social events
  • New TV lounge with comfortable seating to watch KU hoops or just relax
  • New recreational areas including a pool and ping pong tables
  • Private group study and conference rooms
  • A new computer lab with iMac, PCs, free printing and new high speed internet access.
  • An on-site fitness area with cardio, weights and stretching areas overlooking our private swimming pool
  • A new community kitchen to cook, bake and create your own culinary masterpieces

This renovation will further enhance Naismith Hall’s reputation as a preferred housing option for KU students. Naismith is the only residence hall which offers such an array of amenities under one roof in addition to providing some of the largest rooms and semi-private baths for all residents.

He has won a New Nexus 7 16GB Tablet!  Theo’s name was randomly drawn from the group of residents that completed the Naismith Hall Resident Survey and provided their contact information for the drawing.  

You all provided us with very good feedback through the survey and we will be acting on some of your recommendations very soon.  We will keep you posted on these items as we are able to implement them.
